This pillar guides how we will reduce our operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, contribute to the adoption of low carbon and transitional energy solutions to help mitigate climate change, and reduce our impact on the environment.

As a first step to reducing our operational emissions we have partnered with CarbonChain to record and report our GHG emissions for the first time in 2023.

By establishing this baseline, we can develop and deliver plans to reduce our operational emissions (Scope 1 & 2). This framework also enables us to monitor our progress in mitigating Scope 3 supply chain emissions as we expand our offerings, whether through solar power, liquified petroleum gas (LPG) for clean cooking, or stimulating demand for innovative products like sustainable aviation fuel and biofuel feedstocks such as recycled cooking oil.

Our storage leasing procedures involve meticulous vetting, assessing various aspects like environmental permits, safety procedures, and emergency response capabilities.
To bolster sustainability across our supply chain, we’ve enhanced our Know Your Customer (KYC) process, incorporating sustainability-related inquiries. Additionally, comprehensive insurance policies cover all our products, ensuring industry-standard risk controls, including those related to environmental protection. Our storage and distribution assets are certified using international standards including ISO 14001.
